Ready for the Next Level?

Start Your Climb to the College Ranks

Level Up DIII is an initiative created to support high school officials aiming to transition into college officiating, with a focus on opportunities at the Division III level. The program connects you with officiating coordinator information, provides valuable resources and tools to get you “on the radar” and outlines a clear path to help you grow your skills and take the next step in your officiating journey.

How Do I start?

Officiating collegiate sports is highly competitive. Officials with one year of youth experience would most likely not be a candidate even though there isn’t a designated number of years of experience to reach the college ranks. Obtaining a conference or non-conference schedule is based on the league or conference. When first trying to enter a college conference, talk with officials who are currently in the conference. They can give you valuable information such as the conference commissioner and officiating camps to attend. College athletic directors or sports information directors can also be helpful.

Officiating Resume

You’ll want to begin to assemble an officiating resume. Always have that on file to help highlight and illustrate your experiences, goals and skills. Don’t have an officiating resume? Look here to help you put one together.

We advise to contact them via email, and they can direct you on camps, clinics or next steps to help you “level up” and climb the ladder.
